How to declare for a swim meet
EVERYONE has to declare as attending or not attending for EACH swim meet ….
Essentially, each meet needs an RSVP. If you don’t declare on SwimTopia your swimmer will be there, they won’t be entered into the swim meet.
Coaches spend several days planning and preparing heat sheets so it is very important that they know who will be attending the meet and who will not.
It’s super easy to do…
Login to your SwimTopia account.
Once logged into the SwimTopia website, scroll down to the list of swim meets. You will be able to declare for meets.
Click on MEET ENTRY to sign your swimmer(s) up!
Your swimmer(s) names will be listed.
Click “EDIT” and go from there.
What to bring:
For the swim met, your swimmer will need:
- Team or Solid Navy swim suit
- Team swim cap (make sure to have an extra cap of any kind in case it rips)
- Team t-shirt and shorts
- Goggles (extra pair encouraged as backup)
- 3-4 towels (one never stays dry)
- Optional coverup (hoodie, bath robe, jacket, etc., it can get a little chilly when the sun goes down during the first few meets)
- Drinks/Snacks (there is a concession stand at every meet, but it's always good to have something on hand as well)
- Activities (anything to keep the swimmers occupied in the bullpens between events)
- Sunscreen
- Positive attitude
